Our Mission
As Mamas, most of us have tears of inadequacy, frustration, and physical and emotional pain. We have guilt of leaving our children in daycare or from not having our children look or be "up-to-par" or from spending money on ourselves or from not taking care of ourselves using healthy habits. We encounter stress of the day-to-day care of mamahood and trying to do it all.
Here at Ooh, Mama! it is our mission to ensure that every experience you and your child have with us be pleasant, priceless, and peaceful so that you are tear-free, guilt-free and stress-free.
Our Director
Lakeisha Conley had a dream of owning a daycare, a dream of owning a salon, and a dream of owning a fitness studio. She did them all seperately at different times in her life and loved them all equally. She couldn't make up her mind which one she loved more, sooooooo she combined all of them with her love for moms and children. Now she is the proud owner of Ooh, Mama! Services. It's a multi-service business serving moms and their children via: a salon suite, fitness studio and childcare space.
Lakeisha Conley is a licensed cosmetologist, certified pre & post natal fitness specialist, certified nutrition consultant, author of The Daily Ten: Don't Count the Calories; Count to 10! (a weight management book and program for women), a former certified teacher w/ a master degree, a former director of a large childcare center for the past five years, former owner of a home daycare, former owner of a licensed salon and fitness studio. In addition, she has homeschooled all five of her children (all have graduated high school and one graduated from Michigan State University; two are still in college; one graduated from Diamond Designs Beauty College) and counseled/consulted other families along their homeschool journeys.
Outside of the obvious, playing with children and loving God,
she enjoys roller skating, painting her nails, reading good books, spending time with her Love Bug (husband for 30 years), laughing with her children and grandchildren, styling hair, going to the gym, texting/talking to her siblings and close friends, perusing social media, or somewhere encouraging women to be their very best!
